On this day:

What to read, what to read...

The What Should I Read Next? website suggests books you might like reading based on real readers' recommendations.
I searched for Armor by John Steakley and these
were the results:

Mr.X
- Peter Straub

Childhood's End
- Arthur C. Clarke

The Stars My Destination
- Alfred Bester

Across Realtime
- Vernor Vinge

When True Night Falls
- C.S. Friedman

Illuminatus! Trilogy
- Robert Anton Wilson, Robert Shea

The Sword of Truth, Boxed Set I, Books 1-3: Wizard's First Rule, Stone of Tears, Blood of the Fold
- Terry Goodkind

The Forever War
- Joe Haldeman

"Five Great Novels": Do Androids Dream of Electric Sleep / Martian Time Slip / Ubik / The Three Stigmata of Palmer Eldritch / A Scanner Darkly
- Philip K. Dick

Ringworld
- Larry Niven

of these entries, I have read Niven, Dick, Haldman (though I don't recall the story), Vinge, Clark and Straub. These appear to be solid suggestions. Think I'll try 'The Stars My Destination'. Has a good, golden-age of sci-fi ring to it.
