Did you know that is the hotel that they filmed the movie The Shining in?
Welllll, Stephen King stayed at the Stanley with his wife and was inspired to write The Shining; you can watch the original Kubrick film (NOT filmed at the Stanley), and the made for TV version (which actually was filmed at the Stanley) 24/7 on the room televisions. It is frankly fun and creepy at the same time staying there.
Highly recommended. Thanks for commenting!
