Speaking of comics...

Here is the finished painting from a couple of entries ago. It was actually done that very afternoon, just needed to photograph it for posting here. Poster paint muddies so quickly it is hard to maintain good, strong color. But treating a comic book character with paints associated with child hood is interesting aesthetically. Plus I could share the paint with my kids without worrying about cost, or stains!

I started a comic strip for the heck of it. It's called Demo-ed Out, and is a running commentary on the state of the PC gaming community. If you aren't into PC games, it probably won't mean much to you. But I plan on doing some viral marketing to get the word out once I have a couple more strips posted.

This was a good day. It helped I was using poster paints to paint Superman. The boys both got a real kick out of seeing me paint a superhero.
