A word about Comment Spamming

I've deleted a bunch of comment spamming. What is comment spamming? It is spam usually sent by a 'bot that shows up in the Comment section following each blog entry. So what you might see if you follow comments on an entry about books, philosophy or a joke might be a 5 paragraph advertisement for Viagra.

So, sorry, but I have enabled Word Verification to prevent unwanted comment spamming. It'll look like this:



it's easy and will save me a lot of hassle deleting offensive crap from my entries.

of these entries, I have read Niven, Dick, Haldman (though I don't recall the story), Vinge, Clark and Straub. These appear to be solid suggestions. Think I'll try 'The Stars My Destination'. Has a good, golden-age of sci-fi ring to it.
